Staged Reading directed by Joseph Kucan

In the The Weir, four old friends meet in a rural Irish bar on a cold, windy night, hoping to impress a young woman who has just arrived in their small, gossipy town. They trade jokes and insults and swap spooky stories in a bid to impress her. But when she tells a tale of her own, the tables are turned and the night finishes in a way no one could have predicted.

The Weir features Doug Baker, Russel Feher, Eddie Mullaney, Tina Rice, and Jake Sauter and is directed by A Public Fit co-founder Joseph Kucan. Admission is free but seating is limited so early arrival is recommended. As always, immediately following the performance A Public Fit will continue the conversation with The Buzzz, a moderated discussion of the play’s themes, style, and impressions. The Buzzz is an expression of A Public Fit’s on-going commitment to audience engagement, treating each production as the start of an unending conversation.
