Leah Flowers

Leah Flowers is ecstatic to be working with A Public Fit Theatre Company as this season’s dramaturg. She first fell in love with theater at 6-years-old when she saw a production of Cinderella. Throughout high school and college she worked in various aspects of theatre-making and filmmaking as an actor, writer, director, editor, stage manager, props master, board op, and as a high school student critic for school productions around the valley. As she was near the end of earning her undergraduate degree, she met her husband and decided to hang up her theatre masks and tour the world with him. She worked for over a decade as a board-certified massage therapist, however the pandemic brought into focus the one thing her life was missing: the joy and passion that only theatre brings. She returned to Las Vegas and finished her BA in theatre studies at UNLV and has been accepted to the Master’s program in dramaturgy and playwriting at the National University of Ireland, Galway. “I’d like to thank Michael Flowers for his unwavering love and support. Thanks also to Jake Staley, Marcus Weiss, and Kymberly Mellen who believed in me and boosted my artistic development immensely. And special thanks to Ann-Marie Pereth for her leadership, inspiring artistry, and her faith in me. I am forever grateful for the experience of working with APF and for all that I’ve learned from watching you work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
