Leah Flowers is ecstatic to make her debut with A Public Fit Theatre Company in her first foray into dramaturgy. She first fell in love with theater at 6-years-old when she saw a production of Cinderella. She appeared as a chorus member in Grease and as Metellus Cimber in Julius Caesar for the Boulder City High School Theater Department. Thereafter, she earned entry into the arts magnet school, Las Vegas Academy. There she was the stage manager for LVA’s production of Hello, Dolly! as well as their prop master for HONK! She has taken workshops at the Nebraska State Thespian Festival, and served as the student critic for high school productions around the valley. She worked on short films as a performer, writer, director, and editor for the students in the UNLV Film Department. For Nevada Conservatory Theatre, she performed as the Widow in The Taming of the Shrew and worked as the board operator for A Christmas Carol. As she was near the end of earning her degree, she met her husband and decided to hang up her theatre masks and tour the world with him. She worked for over a decade as a board-certified massage therapist, however the pandemic brought into focus the one thing her life was missing – the joy and passion that only theatre brings. She returned to Las Vegas and will graduate in December with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in theatre studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Leah plans to pursue her graduate degree in Dramaturgy and hopes to work in European theater.
