Adonia ‘Nick’ Marion-Brathwaite is a senior at Las Vegas Academy and thrilled to make her first official stage debut in What the Constitution Means to Me. Although she has performed in classroom productions over the years, she considers this her first true experience on stage, and she could not be more excited to share it with an audience.
Her journey with theater began in 8th grade when she enrolled in a drama elective. What started as school assignments quickly grew into a passion for performance and writing. Adonia discovered she enjoyed not only being on stage but also creating stories of her own. Writing plays and developing characters gave her a deeper appreciation for the collaborative art of theater, and it has remained an important part of her creative expression throughout high school.
Outside of the theater, Nick has a wide range of interests that continue to inspire her artistry. She is a writer and visual artist, often sketching and drawing when she is not working on scripts. She also has a love for music, especially jazz, and often finds inspiration in the work of artists like Laufey. Adonia also enjoys sitcoms like The Office, one of her favorite shows of all time.
Looking ahead, Nick plans to pursue a career as a therapist, where she hopes to combine empathy, creativity, and communication in meaningful ways. She would like to thank her parents for never doubting her, even during the times when she wasn’t cast in anything.
