APF proudly starts its 10th Season with a staged reading of The Lifespan of a Fact, directed by one of APF’s favorite collaborators, Gigi Guizado, director of last season’s Lydia.
Jim Fingal is assigned to fact-check a sweeping essay written by John D’Agata for a once prominent but slowly failing magazine. As the future of the publication hangs in the balance, Jim and John battle head-to-head in a comedic yet fascinating battle over fact versus truth, art versus commerce. Based on a true story (and set in Las Vegas!), The Lifespan of a Fact is the perfect fable for an age challenged by a glut of misinformation.
