Free Theatre for the Las Vegas Community

Free Staged Readings
As part of our efforts to give back to the community, A Public Fit offers quarterly free Staged Readings at the Jewel Box Theatre in the Las Vegas-Clark County Library. These readings are performances developed with roughly five rehearsals, in costume, with script in-hand. Free Staged Readings are part of our initiative to be a professional theater company that is also strongly community-oriented. Across town from our downtown location, the Public Library provides a venue that expands our audience-base to those who may not typically be able to attend a Mainstage production. We also offer a BUZZZ session afterwards to encourage patrons to have a voice and to share that voice in a creative and constructive manner. At A Public Fit we want to create conversations and empower our audience members to critically reflect upon their experiences.

Free Tickets for Underserved Students
A Public Fit is committed to making theatre more accessible, especially to students who are usually unable to afford to attend the theatre. For each Mainstage performance A Public Fit invites students to attend a full dress rehearsal so that they can see the production without having to pay the ticket cost. This ensures the students an intimate experience involving discussion afterwards. Often, these students return with family members because they wish to share their special encounter.
