Jason Nious

Jason Nious is an actor, body percussionist, as well as founder & creative director of Molodi. He began by working with high school step teams and going on to compete in NCAA gymnastics. This lead to performing in regional theatre: Step Afrika!, STOMP, & Cirque du Soleil’s KA. He was a member of the creation cast of Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana, which opened at Radio City Music Hall in New York, embarked on a historic three-month residency at Moscow’s Kremlin Palace, and took its final bow at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas. He was the assistant choreographer, dancer, and stunt double for the film Stomp the Yard: Homecoming and has played lead roles in several independent films including Bubblegum & Broken Fingers and Finding My Precious Basquiat. He is currently a teaching artist with Cirque du Soleil’s Arts Nomades program. Jason received his BA in Theatre from the University of New Mexico. His previous work with APF was as a performer in the staged readings of Incognito and In the Blood.
