
Erik Amblad returns to A Public Fit after directing the last full production at The Usual Place, A Steady Rain, in February 2020. APF audiences also know Erik from his performances in The Elephant Man, Small Mouth Sounds and Incognito. A graduate of Harvard University and proud native of Las Vegas, Erik began his theatre career as a member of Rainbow Company Youth Theatre. Additional recent directing credits include Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson, Antigone by Jean Anouilh, The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder, The Jonestown Experience by Troy Heard (co-director), The Birthday Party by Harold Pinter (The Las Vegas Weekly’s 2013 Best Play), You May Go Now by Bekah Brunstetter, and Love Song by John Kolvenbach (Las Vegas Citylife’s 2012 Favorite Stage Performance). Other directing credits include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea by John Patrick Shanley, The Bear by Anton Chekhov, and Pounding Nails in the Floor with my Forehead by Eric Bogosian.
